I used to walk by younger people,
people in their teens or 20s,
& feel judged...
feel like they were looking at me
in some unapproving way.
No one ever said anything bad or mean to me.
I just felt like the looks & stares
were saying something...
But 2 things happened
that changed the way I see myself
& thus changed my self-esteem.
Things changed from the INSIDE-OUT
rather than the OUTSIDE-IN.
One day, I was having a conversation
with a younger co-worker
that I normally don't have conversations with.
We were stuck together on a project
& I decided to make "small talk".
I said to her,
"I didn't know you worked here...
I thought you were just a lost shopper."
My younger co-worker immediately
turned to me & said...
